My name is Rosie Ray and I was born and bred in the West Country of England. My love of photography began when, as a twelve-year-old, I was given my first camera – a Practica film camera. As I got older, I went on to my first SLR camera – a Zenith E – which opened up a whole new world for me with interchangeable lenses and views I was able to appreciate for the first time in magnificent close up. My camera of choice now is a Canon 50D. It is strong, sturdy, reliable and does everything I want it to do.
Since a small child, and thanks to my parents, I have had a love of the natural world and wildlife. British mammals and insects being a firm favourite. Macro photography has been my passion for many years but I’m now starting to venture into the world of Landscape as well.

It is hard work, perseverance,
learning, studying, sacrifice but,
most of all, love of what you are doing”
